The Ultimate Push Button Astragal delivers consistent, trusted performance in one cost-effective solution. The astragal features a spring-loaded retractable boot that clears the threshold when the flush bolt is retracted and seals against the sill cap when the bolt is engaged for damage-free performance and lasting sealing power over time.
- 24″ Spring-loaded bolts automatically engage with the simple push of a button conveniently retract with one easy motion.
- Independently spring-loaded boot seals against the sill and works with the corner pad, weatherstrip, and sealing fin trim to fight infiltration from top to bottom.
- Astragals’ Snap-n-Size retainers accommodate various hardware sizes and styles.
- Can be cut down to 7″ to match the height of the door panel.
- Available with an orange dummy strike plate or metal plates in brass or brushed nickel to best meet the needs of your project.

- The Ultimate Push Button Astragal is installed onto the inactive door panel in a set of French doors.

- Upper and lower bolts are locked with a push of a button and can be easily retracted to unlock.

Awesome! Was going to buy a whole new french door because the old one was so worn out. Only required some minor cutting to fit and was easy to install. Came right away and I was very impressed with the tube packaging to ensure it was not damaged. The door is almost like new now!

The quality of the whole system was top notch. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because the directions seemed to presume that only expert professionals would replace an existing astragal system. I checked the specifications online when I purchased it and those included instructions on how to cut it to size if the door is less than 80″ but the directions included in the packaging were partial. All in all the system was still pretty intuitive and will be a much better than the original which was cut incorrectly.

The quality of the astragal system was top notch. The only reason I gave it four stars is because it presumes that the installer is an expert professional and the directions only seem to be partial (Even the online directions have more depth). All in all the overall setup was pretty intuitive and looks much nicer than our original which was not cut correctly.

After fighting almost 2 months with Jeld Wen to find a replacement astragal I gave up and came here and am I glad I did. Superior construction to the old astragal and easy to install. 15 minutes on this site is all it took to get my replacement and I am still waiting on Jeld Wen to just give me a part number.
